Meet Tori Wimsatt

Tori’s path into interior design was shaped early by a natural pull toward creative work. She was drawing from a young age and always knew she would land somewhere in the arts. While her first ambition was animation, the rise of interior design media during her high school years helped clarify where creativity and real-world problem-solving intersected. She earned her BFA in Interior Design from Ringling College of Art & Design and took a less linear route into the profession, one that strengthened her ability to work with people, navigate complexity, and keep perspective.

That foundation informs how she designs today. Tori is drawn to projects that involve construction and transformation—taking spaces apart and rebuilding them with intention. She’s especially at home in kitchens, where workflow, movement, and daily use matter as much as aesthetics. Her work reflects a belief that when function is right, beauty follows naturally.

Her Approach

Tori designs from the inside out, thinking first about how a space is used before refining how it looks.

She walks clients through decisions thoughtfully, explaining tradeoffs and helping choices feel informed rather than overwhelming.

Tori isn’t afraid to say no when something doesn’t serve the space—a quality clients often appreciate most in hindsight.

More Than Just Design

A sixth-generation Floridian raised in New England, Tori brings a blend of warmth and directness shaped by both places.

An avid cook and baker, she designs kitchens by walking through the cooking process itself, optimizing flow, function, and efficiency before adding beauty.

Outside the studio, Tori bakes, paints when time allows, and proudly embraces her role as a theme-park aficionado with her family.

She has a movie quote or song lyric for nearly every situation, can slip into an accent without warning, and is known for finding the perfect GIF in under 30 seconds.

Tori once trained vocally and performed in talent shows. These days, that range shows up in spirited carpool karaoke—though friends insist she could still hold a stage.

In Studio: Tori & Mark

Design isn’t theory, it’s lived, felt, and practiced. Here, Tori joins Mark for a conversation about what drives her work, how she connects with clients, and why the smallest details often tell the biggest story.
