Curated Contrast

Sarasota, fl

The client called about furniture, but the real story was in the details this house was missing. The kitchen’s black-and-gold counters and busy backsplash set the tone: dated, fragmented, and in need of direction. My job was to unify the entire space—bringing it from piecemeal to purposeful.

We started with the entry, swapping generic lighting for a sculptural fixture that sets the pace for what’s inside. The family room centers on a custom glass-lit fireplace, with a tailored Italian sectional anchoring the space. In the kitchen, light quartz and a geometric backsplash trade chaos for clarity. Each bedroom gets its own mood—from a masculine guest suite with deep wood tones to a primary retreat that’s calm and quietly layered.

The office—once dark and closed-in—became a curated gallery, finished with custom green grasscloth and personal photography. The bonus room shifts energy completely: matte black, LED-wrapped, and unapologetically fun. Outside, the pool and entertaining space finally match the owner’s vision, with tropical landscaping and a custom epoxy table that pulls it all together.

Every choice here was about intent—editing out the noise, elevating what mattered, and building a home with a point of view.
