Meet Courtney Anderson
Courtney brings clarity to complexity. Her work is rooted in order, proportion, and follow-through, the kind that makes a finished space feel calm instead of busy.
She didn’t arrive at interior design by chasing aesthetics alone. Courtney is drawn to how spaces actually function, how details stack, and how decisions made early ripple through an entire project. She’s the designer clients trust when they want things handled thoughtfully, efficiently, and without unnecessary drama.
That sensibility shows in her work. Courtney doesn’t overcomplicate. She edits, refines, and makes sure every choice earns its place. The result is design that feels composed, intentional, and easy to live with, even when the scope is anything but simple.
Her Approach
Courtney thrives on clear plans, smart sequencing, and decisions that reduce friction later.
She designs with restraint. Nothing is added for effect alone. Materials, layouts, and finishes are chosen for how they work together over time.
Clients appreciate her calm presence and her ability to keep projects moving without noise or overwhelm.
More Than Just Design
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Courtney made a life-shaping move to New York City early in her design journey, a place where she learned to work with real constraints and make small spaces feel intentional.
Before residential design, she built and led design programs in hospitality, ultimately serving as Director of Design for a respected restaurant group in New York.
In 2020, she and her family relocated to Sarasota to be closer to relatives and land somewhere more livable.
People around her know she’s never far from a good pair of high-waisted jeans, and that she’ll happily take on laundry duty to relax her mind.
She once earned a reputation as a pool hall contender, a detail she’ll tell you would require practice to dust off.
In Studio: Courtney & Mark
Design isn’t theory, it’s lived, felt, and practiced. Here, Courtney joins Mark for a conversation about what drives her work, how she connects with clients, and why the smallest details often tell the biggest story.
