Circulation was simplified, privacy was improved where it mattered, and moments of openness were created without sacrificing comfort. Closing certain passages and relocating others created better flow, proving that openness isn’t always about removing walls—it’s about editing wisely.
The kitchen became the anchor. By eliminating the central peninsula and opening the room fully, the space now supports everyday living and multigenerational visits with ease. Custom cabinetry, integrated surfaces, and a live-edge bar introduce warmth and texture, while an exposed brick wall adds character without tipping into nostalgia. The material palette stays restrained, allowing craftsmanship and proportion to carry the design.
Throughout the living areas, layered textures do the heavy lifting. Shiplap, grasscloth, brick, leather, and mixed metals work together to create depth without visual noise.
