This penthouse condo at The Oaks has the most amazing views of Sarasota Bay, Siesta Key and ultimately the Gulf of Mexico. We always knew that we wanted to create a calm, peaceful interior that would lean into highlighting the view instead of distracting from it. Step one in the renovation was to remove all the decorative columns that adorned the interior and opening the space so that the kitchen, living room and dining area all had unobstructed sight of the outstanding view. To do that, we had to go down to the studs and remove not only columns but also walls to achieve our goal. Each surface and furniture piece were chosen to support the appreciation of the amazing view.
